Description
This was a legitimate pain in the ass. I hope you appreciate it!This is a VERY VERY LONG TUTORIAL. If you click the DOWNLOAD button, you'll download a 3mg pdf file that is over 100pages long.
You can also see a webpage version by going here:
--> [link] <--
And if that link doesn't work, go here
--> [link] <--
(I recommend just using the web version since I don't think I did the PDF quite right... lol)
This tutorial covers low-poly for real-time Modeling, Smoothing Groups, UV Unwrapping, Texture Creation of Face, Clothing, and Hands, and creation of Hair.
I take a character from start to finish and explain pretty much every single step.

It's my first ever head model and I'm still tweaking things a little bit, but here it is so far: [link]

NICE!
Up until now, I've been doing some pretty simple stuff like darts/dart boards, grenades, and a PS3. So this is the first actual person I'll be trying to model. Just one question though, do you have a link to one of your tutorials on how to model the head? I looked on your site but the one I found looked a little alien-ish for the body
(Here's what I've done so far following your tutorial: [link] )
Anyways, nice work! Keep it up!

Great job, man. You've really put a lot of work into this and it shows. Very detailled tutorial, and it even appeals to people new to modeling since even basic tools are explained at the start.

omg ;_; I can't believe someone would go through the trouble and actually write something covering every step. Now, if only I had a 3D-program to work.. again. Sigh. I so want to learn low-poly-modelling.

Ive had this tutorial for some time now and recently got time to play with it, for long ive had 3ds max and i was afraid at even opening the program even though this is what i would love to do for the rest of my life,you made everything seem so easy, i just want to say thank you, and that i appreciate your hard work and effort into putting this together for the community, and that even though it was a pain, maybe in the future we can see more, maybe one for your "3d - Ean in Blue" character which is one of my favorites, especially the long coat part, id love to see it animated, anyway, Thanks again!
