Description
The purpose of this tutorial is to cover emulating an 'anime style' look, on a 3D character's model. Face/Bust only. But it goes over the face & hair modeling, as well as texturing, using Polypaint in Zbrush.Related content

Hello. I have a question.
Can the Polypaint part be done somehow in Mudbox instead of Zbrush? I have a big problem with 32-bit programs in my computer and Zbrush cannot even open, so I resort to Mudbox for any kind of sculpting.

I *think* so, but I've never really used Mudbox. You could try searching for mudbox tutorials on youtube.
I know that there are several programs out there that let you paint directly onto 3D models. You can even do it in photoshop, but I thought it was kind of janky when I tried (but that was several years ago, so they probably improved it since then).

I want to make 3D anime animations in Maya.
Questions:
1. Is there a way to import models?
2. Is there a way to place images on those models?

Well, yes it can import models and yes you can assign whatever textures to models that you want, but I suspect it's not as simple as you're envisioning it.
Importing models will also depend on what source you're wanting to take models from. If you've got an fbx file of a finished model that already has a skeleton and rigging, then all of that will probably come into Maya without too much complication. If you're wanting to animate something that is just a model exported from some source, and it doesn't already have a skeleton or skinning, you'd have to make those yourself. Which is quite complicated.
