On my last post, I briefly talked about two scrapped fakemons I never got to make, Aromajinn and Spirincense . Well, I actually got way more from where those came from...
These two are quite memorable and suffered a lot of design changes before setting on these forms, and then getting scrapped anyway because of feedback I received.

As with most of the Tupama dex, these two are based on something from brazilian culture, in their case, they were an attempt at creating a fakemon based on Olinda dolls .
They're giant cloth mannequins paraded around during carnaval in the city of Olinda, usually made in the likeness of celebrities and pop culture figures. These things honestly creep the hell out of me, so I wanted to create a ghost fakemon out of it for the longest time.

The main challenge was how to interpret something so humanlike into an inhuman creature, so I settled at the time for something like a blank mannequin or Slenderman.
In the end the main feedback was that no matter how much I redesigned them they didn't look neither like pokémons or Olinda Dolls that much. It was around the time I stopped doing fakemons altogether, so I gave up on them.

I remember the bigger one was called "Olindhoull", a mix of "Olinda", "Doll" and "Ghoul". Both were pure Ghost types, but Ghost/Normal was considered too. I also remember I had some very dark pokedex entries for them... Something about they invading the parades and posing as normal Olinda dolls, but everyone who looked at them would see the face of some loved one, who would vanish days later through mysterious means...

I still like them, so maybe I'll ressurect them as something else, who knows.
