Another quick tutorial for my friend to help her get started with mixing acrylics, though everything here also applies to digital painting.

I hope this helps you guys too. This is just the tip of the iceberg in color theory, but this is what you need to know to start off. It took me forever to cobble together just these basic techniques when I was learning. For some reason, painters are really, really bad at teaching color theory, even if they are good at it in practice. I've only found two painters who could coherently explain what they were doing and why. Maybe it becomes like breathing and they forget how they figured it out?
