This is my first tutorial! Be nice ^__^ And don't forget - I'm not a native English speaker, so it's probably have many mistakes. Still hope it'll be useful!Any questions, corrections and advices are accepted.

Hey Sakura! I'm sorry for asking so many questions but I've already sketched what I want to color and the problem is, is that the magic wand tool doesn't seem to work...Whenever I use it it turns the whole screen blue and then when I click on another tool it doesn't do anything! When I used the wand tool in Computer Art it would color only the section selected right? Then how am I supposed to color it? Are there keys I need to press?

Well, maybe your problem is Selection mode. You should choose Color difference in selection menu and Current layer in selection source menu. Hope it helps!

Oy! I wish I knew what that meant! xD The problem is, is that I don't know how to find these kinds of things...I' a newbie when it comes to this program and know minuscule knowledge about others...D: I'm sorry!
First off, how do you change it to a vector layer? I see in your version that there is an icon in your first layer and in the background there is no icon...How do I get that first? can you give me step by step basis? I'm sorry for bothering you so much! I'll look for other ways of figuring this out! I just can't find it out myself no matter how hard I try...D:

Oh, looks like you have different version of SAI than mine. Mine is 1.0.2d. Because I don't other reasons you don't have those icons.

It turns out that in your version you have a "vector" layer when I have "linework" which has the SAME icon....Hmmmm....I know that now....it took me a while after looking at another tutorial...
Right now I just need to get the linework layer back since I didn't do all the coloring in one sitting and it's weird how it saves....If I have any issues I'll be sure to ask you but I'm sure the only problems with the vector is that I have linework....Confusing but I hope I'm right about this! Thanks for putting up with my nonsense! xD

Hey dear! I actually have question! xD I just got SAI and I was wondering...Can you hide the layers in SAI so I can create a background on a separate layer? I've worked with Photoshop before but only in Computer Art, and you are much more experienced with SAI! Thanks!

Yep, it's possible, it works like with Photoshop. Just click an "eye" icon on layer to hide it.

my outlines to be

Sounds like you have only one layer. Do you do the new layers for lines and for coloring?

yep. I dropped
the colour layer
under the line art
layer (just like the
way the others told
me) and when I
colour on the colour
layer, nothing
comes out from the
brush.

Try other than brus tools. Also maybe the layer is hidden, check it.

Awesome!...IDK what the heck your talking about though I feel dumb because when I tried to upload a drawing and it looked suckish, I went to Paint (Yes, the accesories paint) and traced over everything ._. It took like an hour to get half of it and I said screw it and gave up.

Хех, честно говоря, это у меня вынуждено - компьютер очень старый, при большом количестве слоев начинает тормозить и зависать. Можно использовать и много слоев, но, лично я думаю, в большинстве случаев это ненужно.

Umm, I have Genius and this is the only one I know. I think it's a good choise because it's the cheapest one! And everything else depends of how firm your hand is.
