Description
Summary:
Encrypting your RPG Project during file compression can help protect your game's graphics and data from curious eyes. Using the included compression method in RPG Maker without using the encryption option, you'll be leaving your project data and graphics for players to see! This may lead to spoilers or theft, so be careful.
The following steps will walk you through how to compress your game data into a distributable .exe file for players, as well as how to encrypt your files.
To Create Distributions and Encrypt Your Files:
1. Begin by going to RPG Maker's "File" menu option at the top-left of the window, then select "Compress Game Data..."
2. In the window that opens, select where you want the compressed game file to be saved to. (You can use the "..." to manually select a location instead of typing it.)
3a. To Encrypt - Checkmark the box on the bottom-left corner of the "Compress Game Data..." window. Otherwise, simply select the "OK" button and let RPG Maker do it's work. Once finished, you'll find the .exe file in the location you specified.

I've noticed that often people don't encrypt their games, which could very well be a personal choice, but just in case I thought I'd type up a quickie somewhat explaining what encrypting can do for your RPG game.
The quickie turned into paragraphs and I thought I ought to lighten it up a bit by drawing some two-minute pictures for it.
Although, I'm no expert about on RPG Maker, I hope this helps someone out there in their game-making process!
Good luck fellow RPG Makers! \^.^/
