. . .

The alcoholic breed is considered rare because it seems to be the case that alcohol does not often find itself in the liquid composition of dinkies whose birthing liquid was alcoholic. It seems like the dinky eggs themselves see alcohol as a toxin and dispel it from themselves before hatching. Failed alcoholic dinkies (who often become part of the juice breed), because of this constant dispelling, have heightened immune systems at the cost of being generally more tired than other dinkies. However, some eggs do not dispel alcohol and let it become the liquid composition of the dinkies when they hatch. These become part of the alcoholic breed, one of the most prestigious breeds out there.

These dinkies are known for their slightly slender appearance, but like the soda and coffee breeds they have a smoothness to them. This is not for the sake of strength, though, it’s just for a more sleek look. They have long down ears, long tails, and arm open areas. But why the arms and not the head or legs? Firstly, the arm open area is an extremely rare mutation that does not occur naturally in the wild. Therefore, it is seen as more exotic. Although its rarity has decreased due to breeding for arm open areas, wine dinkies seem much more exotic as a result of having arm open areas. Secondly, it’s much easier to prevent drippage from the arms, as they can be easily covered by a specially made jacket for dinkies to wear. The arms also tend to drip less than the head, body, or legs.

Alcohol dinkies are a bit of a double edged sword when it comes to personality. Some dinkies turn out very intelligent and outspoken, however others are aimless and can’t seem to understand anything. It seems to depend on how tolerant to alcohol the dinky is. Breeders are making attempts to standardize the personality of “intelligent and outspoken” by breeding those with better tolerance together and putting the duds up for adoption. It has been working, however it will be a long time before the personality becomes completely standardized.

Unfortunately for the average dinky lover, alcoholic dinkies are so rare that they tend to be extremely expensive. Because of this, they are extra popular among the rich and dignified crowd. That’s not to say that a middle or lower class citizen can’t find an alcoholic dinky to own, but it may involve a good amount of luck.
