i took this shot at the xmas essay of my daughter's dance school last year. it was the very end of the show and all the classes of dancers had gathered on the stage for applauses and bye-byes. suddenly, the paper fireworks were fired, and it was a surprise for the girls (and the audience). that's why, i think, their joy looks so spontaneous and sincere. one of the main features of this image is the girl on the right, holding her arms up. this was a spontaneous gesture also, they were not dancing anymore. i was focusing and composing the frame just on her (she's a long time friend of my daughter's) and i found myself ready in that precise moment... i was lucky once again
