Description Luci d'Artista (Artist's Lights) in Turin.

This installation, entitled "Il regno dei fiori" (The kingdom of flowers), was set up in a different square each year: Carlo Emanuele Square in 2006, during the Winter Olympics, and Vittorio Veneto Square in 2007 (that's where this shot was taken); this year it decorates San Carlo Square .
Every lamp in the square mounts colored glasses and is surrounded by a light-emitting tube, that continuously changes color.

The Kingdom of flowers, by Nicola De Maria, represents a forest of flowers, left on Earth by gods and goddesses to gladden mankind's world and make life more enjoyable. The light that colors and traverses the flowers makes them a sort of cosmic nest for all the souls living in the universe and in our hearts.

Full view recommended. Thanks for viewing.

anyway, neither this shot, or Turin - 18 can fully render the beauty of these lights and the suspended atmosphere they create...

merci pauline. as i explained to *indi-is-conan , this shot is the merge of two exposures: the moon was too bright.

well man, it's the merge of two expositions. the moon was so bright that it got completely overexposed when i finally found the right shutter time for the lamp. so i also kept the shot where the moon was good (and the lamp underexposed) and used it to do the merge. no hdr or dri process here, just the two shots as layers and a mask.
thank you for your comment
