Description
Ok, this is going to end up as a new Hanna Barbari N, but first I need some help:You see, my favorite all time HB character is Loopy De Loop, and I can't think of a character to have him combined with in HBN's.
Anyway, here's how he looks. For the millions of you who don't know him(Loopy's not that famous), I'll describe his personality to help with the outcome:
Loopy is a French wolf(Thick accent) who is the most nice and kind creature you'd ever care to meet. However, he IS a WOLF- one of the cartoon and fairytale worlds most feared and hated carnivores. Loopy keeps trying to prove that wolves can be nice to everyone they meet(He also tries to show bad wolves the error in their ways.) However, when ever Loopy attempts to do a good deed, he winds up getting the stuffing knocked out of him by his intended friend.

Nice stuff. Loved watching this as a kid. My mum used to get me those Hanna-Barbera compilation videos, and if he wasn't on them, I wasn't interested. Glad he's on DVD now though.
Great work!

Good for you!
It's good to see someone drew Loopy DeLoop here. There's not much fanart around here.
Great job on him! I love Loopy!

Me too. Loopy's kind of a theme I like a lot; namely a feared creature that everyone shuns who's really a nice guy, but never gets a chance to show it.
Also on that list is Casper, but Casper actually has had a better chance at making friends then poor Loopy has... Probably cause you can't smack a ghost in the face repeatedly.

Yeah!
I always knew Loopy's theme kinda reminded me of Casper. Yeah, I feel sorry for Loopy.

I thought of having him on my TV Show if it gets approved for Adult Swim and Turner since they own the rights to Loopy de Loop.
He would be a Liberal Vegan (Only because he's lactose intolerant) and he lives with an Out-of-luck 25-year-old guy named James Paul Warner who lives in his parent's basement. Loopy is loved by James Paul and his mother, but not by Tony who calls him 'Wolf-man'. And when Jame Paul's younger siblings visit, they would give Loopy a hard time, especially Dustin who would throw Ice Cream at his nose and whitewash Loopy during the winter months.

So... that was your plan. Different than my bizzare fantasy.
The idea I had was Loopy star in a crazy "reality" tv show with Huckleberry Hound and Quickdraw McGraw (It's COMPLETELY different from Drawn Together) and how the three make an approach to living "regular lives" like everyday people. And it would also show how they handle the crap people deal them. Plus they'd start developing amazingly "Passive" attitudes about getting mixed up in crazy situations based solely on pure coincidence.
Example: Because Loopy de Loop is such a sucker for helping people, he suddenly figures it all out- he STOPS helping a crazy animal activist in a pet shop and the activist gets mauled by a bunch of animals. His other quirks involve smoking and reading the bible. He's an arsonist, and he doesn't tolerate anyone using the phrase, "(BLEEP) the French".
Sigh... I had this other idea for the villains too... but I'll explain later.

I do have Loopy be a die-hard Christian. He was excommunicated by the Roman Catholics since he can't handle the wine and always takes the Parable of the Good Samaritan seriously. But I can't see Loopy toting a gun...I see Loopy putting flowers in guns though.
An as you mentioned Huck and Quick-Draw, there was a Loopy de Loop cartoon called "Not in Nottingham" where Loopy meets Robin Hood and Robin Hood shows a list of the men who want to help Robin Hood...and one of them was Quick-Draw McGraw!

Lol! Sounds like a good idea. I can also see a few "Anti-French" jokes at poor Loopy's expense, what with that whole 'Freedom fries' deal when the French made public their dislike for the Iraq war.

Another idea is when Loopy de Loop drinks alcohol (even a little bit) he gets Loopy. (Get it?)
Loopy also hates the term 'Son-of-a-Bitch' because he thinks it's an insult to his mother.

LOL! Both good, but that son-of-a-bitch thing can be used with ANY dog. I actually like the idea of Augie Doggy crying everytime someone says that phrase and Doggy Daddy says "You just HAD to remind him of his mother, DIDN'T you?..."

Also when Loopy gets drunk (or Loopy) he acts like Pepe le Pew.
That one came from another pic here.
I would also like to use his nephew Bon-Bon in one episode of my TV Show. In that ep, Dustin, Paul, and Loopy try to raise Bon-Bon. Dustin makes Bon-Bon play sports, but fails. Sadly, Bon-Bon gets taken away by a Griffin.
Another character for my show is Paulo Ronaldo who looks like Joe Carioca. Paulo loves to hang around with Loopy and he calls him Loopy de Beau (Paulo is Brazilian and Loopy de Loop cartoons are called 'Loopy de Beau'.) And when Loopy, Paul, and Paulo are together, they call themselves 'The Three Cavalheiros' (A take-off of The Three Caballeros, and I hope I can do all that. Wish me luck!)

Another thing I might add...
Loopy de Loop LOVES Hockey! His team is the Nordquines and would wear a Nordquins toque and scarf. But he would never get into the Montreal Canadians Hockey Team.
Loopy also never mentions about 1995, the year the Nordquins became the Avalanche.

Does he make any referrence to the fact that his cartoons actually came first before Huck's or Quickdraw's? You know, as a running gag?

Yeah, my favorite eposode was when he met that Yakky Doodle-like duck that was too young to fear wolves, at the end it was great
If you missed it the end went kind of like this.
Loopy: Well, at least he's back with his mother... but you know it can't be that easy for me... First he'll miss me and come back;
Yakky (Running up to him): Guess who's back: Me!
Loopy: Then the mother will come
Mother Duck (Also running up): (Quack angrily, and starts pecking Loopy repeatedly.)
Loopy: So you see, NOTHING is ever easy for ze good wolf...
