Description

Hey guys it me again here i have a new remade drawing of the cadets. This could be the last drawing you could see from me for a while as classes are starting up again. But i will see that i can do.

If you want to see the first one here it is:www.deviantart.com/blackceaser…

The first cadets were just teenagers aged 16 to 18 who banded together into groups, many of them where orphans of the flash to the past or youths that did not see much of a future in there lives. Some where a offspring of the urban militia that spring up in towns of Caugas Valley. There where many reasons why teens would join the cadets as said before a good chunk of them were orphans and had nowhere to go or did not see them selves with any future. Others did it because they did not trust the local government with defending them from the British army and there lackeys. These cadets like there urban militia counterparts were armed with what ever they could find form wormed down daga machetes to modern day assault rifles and sometimes Molotov cocktails and pipe bombs. For clothes they had what was typical of Puerto Ricans teens and any old surplus clothes and boots what could handle the weather of 1920s Ireland. As for training cadets some groups were very lucky if they had a war veteran training them or a urban militia member but others had to make due with army manuals such as the ever popular guerrilla manual "Total Resistance" by Hans von Dach witch were translated to Spanish and later in the war Irish.

The three cadets im going to talk about are from Black Caesar's platoon of cadets being one of the first and well documented cadet groups from the early days.

1. Female cadet corporal (Layla "La negra" Walker Rivera): Women have always contributed in Puerto Rican history, in one form or a other in history. So it was natural (with that they join the militias in fighting or support roles if they could handle the physical work. For clothes the girl here has gotten lucky in finding a surplus or reproduction army jacket, her pants are used tan field worker pants that most people could find around town along with regular work boots. For military load-carrying equipment she had found leather shotgun cartridge box with a belt, it ammunition being a local version of buck and ball called puñetazo y bola. For weapons she has a Remington model 870 a common shotgun in use by civilians and police in the valley. Tucked inside her belt is a handmade bayonet for her shotgun made from a old machete. Corporals in the cadets were usually teens that had experience shooting firearms or knew the use of other type of weapons. They became instructors to other cadets in the use of weapons and kept discipline in the cadets.

2. Troop leader (Xavier " El Taino" Ramos Ortiz): Troop Leaders were usually people that had natural leadership or the training in various things like paintball, airsoft, boy scouts or were ex military. These leaders were picked on how they handle people and how much technical knowledge they posses as in small unit tactics and as well in mine and demolition techniques. Troop leaders were usually better armed and equipped than the regular cadets.  Our leader here is dressed in a sand yellow regular shirt with redyed green combat pants, for footwear he has solid rubber boots. He has scrounged up some actual military equipment for himself from a local war veteran, for webbing he has a fading olive green Vietnam era Type 56 AK Chest Rig with magazines full of ammo along with it. For a weapon a Vietnam era bring back AK-47 with a homemade sling. Troop leader were often made up of very colorful characters, some were ex gang leaders, boy scouts, airsoft and paintball club members and even football leaders. Xavier here used to be part of a paintball club.

3. Recruit (Daniel "El Español" Garica Fernández): Recruits were offend trusted friends or family members of troop leaders in the case of Black Caesar's platoon Daniel was one of his many classmates that joined the cadets.  Because the cadets did not have much equipment  and weapons to give out they would often had to get there own or make them by themselves. This is prevalent on our young blond recruit here. As we see he is dressed in a blue striped shirt and cargo pants, his shoes are some hiking boots. As for weapons and equipment he has a homemade chest rig based off the SADF pattern 83 rig. For weapons he has a surplus Mosin Nagant from the Adrian Alvarez`s old weapon stash and 3D printed FGC-9 carbine in 9mm parabellum.

The FGC-9 is a 3D printed carbine made from a mix of 3d printed parts, easily manufactured metal pressure-bearing parts, and readily available springs, screws, nuts, and bolts. The total cost of production, if someone already owns a 3D printer, is less than US$400. The FGC-9 is noted for its deep and thorough documentation, included in the release, which make construction and assembly fairly simple. The documentation has been translated into several other languages since it was first published including Spanish. This pistol caliber carbine was very popular during the early days of the flash to the past. As 9mm ammo was plentiful and the gun was fairly easy to make so many were made by the urban militia and the cadets. A .455 auto version of the FGC-9 was made called JLI .455, Joder Los Ingleses (Fuck the Brits) .455 the used a UMP magazine.  The one showed here was made in the Alavrez hacienda by Black Caesar himself and is currently in a private collection in Dublin.

Later on the Cadets and the Urban were legalized as the National Guard was overwhelmed with work to defend the towns, and got trained and supplied by the local council. This move was controversial as it would later be seen.
