Very much intentional. I was inspired to make this scene after looking at the various scenes of Los Angeles in the original and in 2049.

Another great piece. The enormously tall and thin skyscrapers really make for a unique look. And the smog lit from below is an excellent touch.
You know, your art style and approach to pixelart mechas really reminds me of the SNES game 'Cybernator'. I don't know if you've ever played it, but it strikes me as similar a lot of the time.

Nah, some of them definitely do. The Valken assault suits certainly resemble the mech I drew for the previous scene, and the one in this scene looks like one of the enemies in the screenshots.
