Description
[UPDATE: You need to Download the tutorial in order to view it. Previously DA allowed thumbnails for picture items. That changed in later years.)Because the title bar only allows so many characters...
2nd - I didn't realize until I was close to finishing the tutorial, that Silver's other quill just looks too out of place.
But for the sake of the tutorial itself... I didn't change that. That change will be made in Part 2.
If you have any recommendations on how future tutorials can be set up, please give me the advise. I need all the help I can get.
My fingers are almost frozen...and I'm going to bed.

I wonder if you could do this with pixel art.

You could try, but my guess is that would entail knowing your colors for the right look of shading and such. Unfortunately I don't have any patience in pixel art to try it...

I do pixel art since I don't have a scanner or tablet but it's the pen tool. Trust me, I know my colors very well...

This would work so much easier fr me if I could find a way to work the Convert Point right
Got any tips I can use for this? It keeps going floppy and uneven...

Last I checked, when you click n drag with the Convert Point tool, you get a couple arms to go with that. Try playing with those or, if you're goin' for a clean arc, hold shift when you click and drag with the same tool on the point.

BlazeTBW In reply to tailartz [2007-10-14 16:04:43 +0000 UTC]
Well, try and make sure of the following when you're trying to fill in your pen path(s):
You're on the layer you want it the be on.
The selected layer that you want your lines to appear on is the top layer, that way no previous layers are covering it up.
Make sure you're clicking the right button in the '
aths' Window as shown in the tutorial.
(If you're using Photoshop CS or higher) Make sure you didn't hide the layer that you're trying to fill your lines on. And if it his hidden, you'll want to select the layer and make sure you can see an eye icon to the left of the layer's name (ei. Layer 3, lineart layer, if you choose to name it). There are 2 boxes next to each layer, the left one which has the ability to hide your layer from view on your Photoshop canvas.
I can't recall too well, but in the newer versions of Photoshop you can hide a layer and still work on the layer despite it's hidden. I've gotten so used to use 7.0 on my current computer (which doesn't allow for me to work on a hidden layer) that I'm not too sure.
If you have any more problems, just let me know.
