Starcraft 2: Protoss Tempest

Samwise had a very clear vision of the Protoss Tempest's general shape from the onset of development, specifically the forward crescent wings and the orb of lightning in the center. After adapting the concept some minor adjustments were made to add more detail such as additional boosters and small wing tips, which helped convey the capital-ship scale of the Tempest. Mr.--Jack's original texture treatment was done with Dark Templar platinum metal tones. Shortly after the completion of both the Tempest and Oracle, a snap decision was made to switch their metal tones.
