FAQ #531: What is an Official deviantART Beta Tester? How do I become one?This is for anyone who needs help embedding a video from the dA Film gallery, vimeo, or YouTube.

Wait...I don't understand... Lets see, I was typing in the exact same way the url was typed at the top but instead replaced my url with that one. I even got rid of the V= and what not and then it didn't work... I don't understand what they mean at the bottom when explaining YouTube vids... I wish I saw a preview of your Journal entry to see...DX

That's not the point, at all. I'm just taking out my frustration at this, cos it's another step into the lack of content control which has been going on forever (which branches into a whole new bag full of shit)

But that's the POINT of DeviantART: It's an art community for all, no matter their level of skill, age, location, etc within reason.
If you want content control, this isn't exactly your ideal website.

How it would abused? By people posting lots of videos in their own journals? That's their business, and I don't think it's fair to limit the feature just because of how a few people use it.
What if someone said they wanted to limit another feature of dA just because of the way you yourself choose to use it? Think about is all I'm saying.

Obviously everyone is gonna want to embed music videos into their profile, there's no denying that. It's just wrong to do so, that's what social media sites are for, not an artistic based one. And yeh some people might argue that "Oh music and art go hand in hand", I really don't think it's the right way for dA to go.
That's my honest opinion, and I CAN understand others, I just feel that the boundary between dA and social media websites shouldn't be breached. xD
