Description
Isn't it cute, with its razor sharp teeth and glowing guts ?
Modeled and rendered in 3ds Max, a lot of post-work in Photoshop CS3. Textures are from various random pictures, I did the organs with surgical photographs of cancerous liver tissue, teeth with several animal horns and veins with a couple eye fundus examination pictures.

That was actually my goal, it's quite frustrating that guys at Nintendo never do decent photo-realistic cut scenes in their games.

Very pretty! I love the texture on its... organs? I think the metroid would look even better if the end of the jelly-shell was less sharp. You know, a bit more wobbley... like jelly

OK, Mother Brain is about to give the coup de grace, then SR388 baby Metroid (who's grown up) pops in and saves you. It gets killed, then you kick MB's ass in 3 seconds, then you run before the planet explodes (not forgetting to open the hidden chamber to save your little friends from the explosion).

damn. you're missing an important part there. grown up baby metroid gets killed AND gives you its super powers. HYPER BEAM ftw! you wouldn't be able to kick MB's ass in 3 seconds if it wasn't for Jesus Metroid popping in and saying hay now would you. it died to save you, just like Jesus.

THEN PLAY AROUND WITH THE HUE AND SATURATION ADJUSTMENTS TO FIX THAT PROBLEM ^-^ AND THEN CLIP IT TO THE LAYER BELOW IT, WHERE UR GLOWING GUTS ARE AT

I've already done that, trust me, I know how to deal with these params
Problem with the red color is that it gives very poor glow intensity, and over-boosting it just makes things look nasty. So I just stuck with what I thought looked the best.
And is you CAPS key broken or something ?
