Description
With the end of the old year and the beginning of the new one, I got into a Daspletosaur-ish mood, so I drew a bunch of them. Primarily for learning the proportions, poses and perspectives as well.1.) Some courtship
Aww, he tries to look pretty and she observes him attentively
2.) Mid-Walk
Initially, this should just be a head shot, but I thought I could add more.
3.) Catching the Dinner
...or a Lambeosaurus. And I had some soup for my own dinner...
4.) I want to be with you
A male Daspletosaurus rests his head in a protective and affectionate manner on the neck of his mate. (I just wish I could be the female, since I never had such moments in my life...)
5.) How do you like your steak? Bloody!
Enjoy your meal or "Guten Appetit" how I would say in my German.
6.) Sniffing
Some of my typical practices, when it comes to perspectives. At least, drawing a tyrannosaurid in front view looks less strange than doing the same with a carnosaur, whose head is rather narrow than broad at the back of the head.
7.) [WIP] By your side
Although rough lines - most of my drawings start out as this - I'm melting due to my emotional overflow.
8.) Daspletosaurus
It is loosely based on the mount of the skeleton during the SVP meeting in 2016.

GREAT! Well, it would be awesome to see an update based on D. horneri's discovery (the discovery about the oral tissue).

Thanks! I read Carr's paper shortly after it was published and might give my own reconstruction of D. horneri a chance, when I come to making an initial sketch of its features.

These turned out just incredibly! I have to say my favorite is definitely number 2, the pose is so dynamic and graceful. I love all of the others, though. You create some really lovely tyrannosaurid art.

Thank you very much *hugs you*
That must have been an impressive sight to see a tyrannosaurid like Daspletosaurus walking calmly through a Cretaceous landscape. I had to give that tyrannosaur some love

Yes, it would be very impressive. I'd love to see such a sight with my own eyes, but it's impossible for us now.
