Very evocative! I wonder what lies further in the woods The only thing I would critique is that the values are overall the same, there's no darks and lights, just midtones. By adding some contrast as well as some atmospheric perspective, it'll add depth to the piece

I agree with you, I have a tendency to do very pale colors, I'll try to work on the highlights more on the piece I'm currently working on. Thank you very much for the constructive comment !!
