He's helping a fisherman I guess. Probably in exchange for food. (Usagi loves seafood. If it comes out of the sea, he will eat it)I fail at baskets. Mostly because I didn't use reference
Proportion weirdness too but just ignore it.
a mix of Painter IX and Photoshop CS3.
About 2 hours.

Is there a name for the pieces of cloth that Usagi ties around his clothes to hold his sleeves up?

There probably is but I'm afraid I don't know it. I think it's actually a part of his belt (obI) but I'm not sure. *Pimpypants would probably know

I'm not a seafood person unlike Usagi. I got the first volume from the public library so i could start reading the series. I love it.

Do you paint in watercolors (or any paint medium) by hand? Not sure if i've seen any posted...if you do i'd love to see or are ya just a computer artist? Either way nice work here.

Ah, You should try playing with watercolors. Thiers many ways to use them, i use them as layered paint if you look at my Usagi watercolors or Fish watercolors. I have to say i haven't used Gouache yet, my Girlfriend gave me a set i was going to play with and see how i liked them. And its good you draw them all out on paper as i love to draw, and thats good becuse i love to paint even more.
Oh, and if you need help with Watercolors check out Jerry's Artarama (its a art supply website) as they have viedos on meduims and styles and product, many cool things thier. Keep up the awesome work and i'd love to see what you can do by hand in paints!
