Welp, this is a blast from the past, ain't it?

If you've been friends with me since my time here on DA, or one of the fans of my orignal stuff in my deactivated account of Brainstormer623, then the name "Eva Evil" must ring a massive bell in your head. For those of you who don't: Eva was essentially the very first villain character I even designed. But like every character I've ever designed, she went through a lot of changes.

First off, her name was Eva Ellison. Vil and she was a mad scientist to battle against Ruben's inventions. Basically what Shada Gloom is now (minus the kid friendly fascism).

Then Eva was suppose to be a witch, similar to what Savannah Fortune is now.

And in her most recent revision, she was the leader of a trio of monster girls. She was still a witch, one was a demon girl and the last one was basically a snake creature that had the head of a gorgon but the tail of a lamia.

I said, "lamia"! Not "llama"! We already went over this!

Anyways, why did I eventually stop using these characters? We'll get to that in a minute. Let's just go over this picture, because I've basically written a whole paragraph and haven't even started yet, beaver dam it.

In this picture, Eva (center) and her 2 collages: Penny (Left) and Elizabeth (Right) run into Ruben after what appears to be several years. See, back when I was doing that stupid origin story phase, I wanted to do a story where Eva and her girls, back when they were still monsters, were bullies that would make Ruben build all of the machines they need for their series of pranks.

It was suppose to be a story that would help teach the lesson that one needs to speak up about being involved with something you don't like.

In reality, it was a massive hit to my soul because I realized I wrote a story based around what I didn't and should've done with those assholes that kept egging me to make them perverted cartoon art I wasn't cool with.

But this still happened in the, and I'm using air quotes here, "canon" of this series and Ruben freezes up when he sees them after so long, probably after getting out of the juvie center. Except in this version, they're not bullies that wouldn't look out of place in Monster High. Instead, they're elementals: creatures that can manipulate certain elements in nature.

Eva is the strong-headed leader of the group and has the ability to either manipulate or creature fire with her hands.

Penny is the airhead of the group that has the ability to create gusts of wind.

Elizabeth is the cynic of the group and has the ability to manipulate water.

And when I looked over these characters' old personalities, I realized why I stopped using these characters: they're basically the Dazzlings from Equestria Girls. And if you'd ask me about 3 years ago, I would've told you that that is a bad thing because of my old habit of hating any idea I have that's unoriginal. But now? I'm actually glad of that because:

A. That Dazzlings are my favorite villains from Equestria Girls

And Z. Unlike Babs Seed, Diamond Tiara, Discord, Tempest, The Pony Of Shadows--PAUSES TO GASP FOR AIR--Wallflower Blush, Gloriosa Daisy, Juniper Montage and especially Starlight Glimmer: the Dazzlings didn't go through some BS reformation that ended up ruining their character because "Oh, woe is me, I wanted to blow up the world because I didn't have any friends!~" and risk never to be seen again.

I know some people thought they were gonna be reformed with that one music video they did with that dumb episode of the concert, but that ended up being a cop-out. And some would say "they probably were gonna be reformed but then the series was cancelled" which is just a hypothetical.

My point is, I really liked the Dazzlings. Like, a lot. And having a group of characters that remind me of what is literally the only thing in Friendship Is Magic that doesn't piss me off on a personal level is really, really comforting. So I'll take it.

The only thing I need to say left is what does Savannah have to do with any of this. How does she fit in with the Catastrophes? Well, she'd most likely hate the Catastrophes, not just for being competition in the villains' game, but for being objectively horrible people. Same with Shada Gloom and now Luis Lotshot. Despite the fact that Savannah interacting with Eva is on the same meta level as Mickey Mouse meeting Oswald the Lucky Rabbit in the first Epic Mickey game.

It also doesn't help that all Eva has to do is take one look at Savannah's thighs and say "Wow, Ruben, I didn't know you were into fat chicks" for her to get on her bad side.
