I've been TEMPTED to make a tutorial for using Paint.NET or using artist's pencils... But someone else has probably already done it, and I'm an ameture.

I'm a thespian (THESPIAN, like, an actor, not the word that rhymes with it XPPP) and this is WAY better in making wounds than I ever learned.

Thank you! If you know how to use Adobe Illustrator, it is easy to make any document using type and pics together (it's what I used for this). I would still make a tutorial even if someone else has... You're input on the subject may be different (or even more valuable) than someone else's.

so very useful! This one really makes me want to go to the store and start making zombie blood even if i'm not the photograph type XD the first type of blood sounds also like something i could eat for breakfast, wich is good in case there's some leftover from the photos. XD

A question from an Estonian, so that you wouldn't think me plain stupid or something - what is petroleum jelly?

I've been making blood for theatre, film and LARP round here for good many years, still trying to learn more tricks.

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

CaptainShort1 In reply to Mithgariel [2010-04-01 12:26:01 +0000 UTC]

Petroleum Jelly is Vaseline, if you know the brand?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Mithgariel In reply to CaptainShort1 [2010-04-01 13:06:13 +0000 UTC]

Thank you.
I know what vaseline is, yeah. Comes in little tubes, good for some types of broken skin and good old anal sex Petroleum Jelly is a very kinky name, though. Is that some special kind of vaseline? Or just plain old.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CaptainShort1 In reply to Mithgariel [2010-04-02 01:32:53 +0000 UTC]

no, petroleum jelly is the product, but a lot of people call it vaseline, cause it's the popular brand name of petroleum jelly. it's kind of like 'band-aid' and bandages...

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Mithgariel In reply to CaptainShort1 [2010-04-02 10:50:53 +0000 UTC]

My confusion comes from the fact that in Estonian, there is no such phrase as "petroleum jelly", only "vaseliin", but what I'm wondering is how thick is that vaseline of yours, because the one I'm familiar so far comes in small tubes and is thicker than most cremes.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CaptainShort1 In reply to Mithgariel [2010-04-02 12:30:27 +0000 UTC]

you are exactly correct! it comes in jars here, but it super duper thick

excellent blood recipies! very similiar to mine. In fact, one of your recipies is exactly like one of mine.

Getting tutorials like this out there, whether blood, peeling/cracking rotted skin, flesh tears, etc is important!
