Description
in the late 2280's, Starfleet never considered the use of fighters abourd Federation Starships as a means of combat. Rather then use for plantery and starbase defense. The Falcon-Class Fighter was originally designed as a training craft for Starfleet Academy cadet, but was refited with a pare of Type-III phasers mounted on the wing tips. The U.S.S. Yamato was the first ship to be equiped with these fighters.
