Description (In the Langston Universe)

Stardate 2372.66: The Raven-Class fighter was developed at the Charles Tucker III-Auxiliary Craft Development Center in Sydney Australia and after several successful field and flight tests, Starfleet Operations gave the green light to begin replacing the ageing Periguin-Class fighters as the proved more maneuverable in atmospheric entry and take off from a planetary base or outpost. One of the unique fetures to the Raven-Class was the cockpit separation that enabled the piolet to escape in extremely dangerous situations.
By 2385, the U.S.S. Enterprise (NCC-1701-C) was assigned a squadron of fighter piolets and Raven-Class Fighters there where housed in the hanger bay (shuttle bay 2). One of there upgrades was the incorporation of a self-replicating and rapid launcher micro-torpedo systems which was intended so that piolets wouldn't run out of ordained in mid dogfight.
