Summary:
   The Resolute-Class Starship was one of several vessels on the drawing board during the Federation/Klingon Cold War 2266 - 2293. By 2294, Starfleet laid the keel of the U.S.S. Resolute as part of the continuing development of technology. It's warp drive, navigational sensors & defense systems at the time were considered to be, at the time, was the most advanced in the fleet. It was also the first ship if the fleet to test the Class-VI warp drive in deep space.
In 2356 when the U.S.S. Resolute repaired from a time twisting wormhole, Captain David Ross Forester discovered that venturing threw the wormhole to return to the year 2299 would be to hazardous and dangerous for the crew. Apon his return to Federation space, Captain Forster's crew was debriefed a total of 3 times by the Admiralty even personally by Fleet Admiral Pavel Chekov. Ultimately after week of beaurocracy, Starfleet Command decided to totally refit the U.S.S. Resolute and keep her in active service.
