I know like she came back the book before and then she died in the next book. They just brought her back to kill her LOL.

just because she was horrible to everyone around her! She always thought it was up to her to decide what to do and how to do it, when it really wasn't. And when it came to Ashfur, it certainly wasn't up to her to decide wether he lived or died. The same goes about leafpool. She insisted it was right that leafpool should die. But you never saw lionblaze or Jayfeather try to murder cats who cared about you. I mean, she was just overall and awful character. I didn't really like her to begin with, but when I found out what she did, I outright hated her. I mean, she killed ashfur for nothing after telling the secret to the clans, and then ran away, not even caring to take the blame. And the whole "You'd all be better off without me!" thing was a really bad excuse, especially for a cat as smart as her... I mean, she seemed genuinely guilty for killing ashfur, but if she really felt that way, why did she make his death useless? I mean, she killed him to protect the secret, but then told it anyway! For the exact. same. reason! They both hated squirrelflight for how she hurt them, and wanted to get back at her. I mean, nobody wants to die without a reason, and ashfur's death was a horrible one, and the fact that he died for nothing made it worse! Overall, she was just a horrible character.. :T

She was not horrible to everyone around her. I do not understand what you mean by that, and I need examples.
No, she didn't think everything was up to her. She just felt like others were doing things the wrong way. When people do things in a way that you find dumb, don't you wish that you can do it another way? You can't hate on someone for being realistic.
Honestly, that goes for EVERYONE who kills ANYONE. Not just Ashfur and Leafpool. Ashfur is just as much to blame, because he tried to kill Hollyleaf, Lionblaze, Jayfeather, and Firestar JUST because Squirrelflight dumped him. Ashfur absoloutly did not give a crap about Hollyleaf. Heck, he tried to murder her! Isn't that just as bad? Hollyleaf saw him as a threat.
Again, I have no idea what makes her an awful character.
She did NOT kill Ashfur for nothing. He was insane and wanted to destroy the lives of five perfectly strong warriors that ThunderClan needed. It would have destroyed the clan if he said it in the exact way he intended to. Hollyleaf felt that she could say it better, and she was panicked inside. She was broken and couldn't think.
Honestly. If you killed a loyal member of your family, wouldn't it be easier just to not take the blame? :I she DID tell Lion and Jay. She isn't just a coward.
Hollyleaf did not kill Ashfur on purpose! Although it says so in Hollyleaf's Story, the Erins confirmed that this was a mistake and she meant to slash his shoulder and threaten him, but he moved and she accidental bit into his throat. She was terrified with herself. She couldn't live with the guilt.
The whole 'you'd be better off without me' thing is not a terrible excuse. She felt that way, because she couldn't believe she killed Ashfur and revealed the secret and was born as an accident. It went against the Warrior Code, which was everything she had once believed in.
She thought it was unfair that her brothers were a part of the prophecy and she wasn't. And it was unfair. You would be bitter too, wouldn't you?
Again, no hard feelings. That is only my opinions and I respect yours.

But I find her death sad. She was BIG for the warrior code and always wanted to follow it. She was so big that she didn't kill sol because she didn't EVER wanted to break the warrior code again and she never meant to kill ashfur. She only wanted to wound him to warn him but no he fell the the river and died. I hate assfur though

Ashfur's death was not an accident. She clearly meant to, if you read hollyleaf's story, or read the ending to sunrise. In her flashback, she was clearly stating that his death would be the only way to keep the clans safe. she most certainly meant to kill him, even if she knew it was really bad. And the whole incident with sol? Hollyleaf is just a character trying to be good, but is too willing to kill.. that's basically my issue with her.. :T

to be honest, yes Bramblestar and yellowfang did kill for extremely good reasons ( High five! Yellowfang's one of my favourites too!) But Hollyleaf killed because she was angry, confused, and needing to take it out on someone. Ashfur never killed anyone like brokenstar did. And when you look at Hollyleaf in perspective... She killed a cat just to be upset, and then went around, completely wasted the murder she committed by spilling secret ( IN FRONT OF ALL FOUR CLANS) , and then attempted to assassinate her mother... :I Now I'm not trying to make you hate hollyleaf, but she wasn't.... the greatest character in terms of her legacy... [:I

Ashfur tried to kill Firestar, Lionblaze, a Hollyleaf, and Jayfeather if he was able to. ISNT THAT WORSE THEN HOLLYLEAF KILLING ONE CAT? No offense, but I'm done with this 'he was heartbroken' excuse. It's plain crap. If he was truly 'heartbroken', then he wouldn't try to kill her father and children. That is not how love works, if you have not noticed. He was an insane murderer. Hollyleaf acted out of anxiety and panic, and the Erins confirmed that she did accidentally kill her despite what it says in Hollyleaf's Story and Sunrise.

I completely respect your opinion as well, and I really hope there isn't any bad blood. Anyway, I'm taking a fresh look at this. Hollyleaf was a warrior who held the warrior code at such high esteem, she did everything by the book, and then held contempt for those who didn't. She aspired to become leader one day, but even before that, there are numerous quotes from the power of three stating her to have wanted to be an "Important cat among the clans". Later in life, Hollyleaf grows to become a valued warrior, but she's troubled by the fact that she hasn't discovered her power yet, as she assumes that she's one of the three. Not long later, The whole ashfur fire scene happens. Hollyleaf feels as if her entire world has been shattered, knowing that her very birth has completely destroyed everything she based her lifestyle on. It's true, she's frustrated, angry, and confused. But she stalked him, hunted him down, and left him to wash away, completely forgotten. Except, he wasn't. The thunderclan patrol found him, and her plot was ruined. During the book "Sunrise" Hollyleaf goes on a long and rigorous journey, knowing who Ashfur's true murder was the entire time. She completely wasted valuable time, and instead tried to forget her part in ashfur's death ever happened. However, when they return to thunderclan, Hollyleaf appears to be mentally crumbling, and cannot cope with everything that's happened. This is triggered when she discovers leafpool and crowfeather are her real parents. During the book, she states that "The only way to really fix it, is by facing it.", something along those lines. She says this to Cinderheart, after she's told the secret at the gathering, if I remember correctly. However, this literally contradicts everything she did in the past few months. She murdered a clanmate, tried to cover it up and then tried to lie about the entire thing. And then, she spills the secret at the gathering, completely negating any value ashfur's death had. And hollyleaf did so for the exact same reasons Ashfur did, to be able to make Squirrelflight suffer for the wrongs commited against either of them. But what really gets to me about Hollyleaf, isn't that she made some bad decisions, everyone does that. But it's more the fact that she runs away from her problems, and leaves others to deal with them. After she almost murdered her mother, she ran away, leaving Lionblaze and Jayfeather to deal with the aftermath of her outburst. She didn't need to deal with any of what'd happened, and when she came back, She once again covered up the truth behind ashfur's death, and carried on. True, she felt the weight of her crime heavily, and it's something that she suffered from for the rest of her days. But None of that excuses anything she's done. (Sorry if this turned into a rant, like wow, this is so long I'm so sorry, I just wanted to be thorough! So sorry ;-
