Description
...::EDIT::...Larger and edited file on request.
Several people were complaining about the small font. Leaving critiques and comments are more than welcome, but I just don't like it when people use my tutorials and at the same time nitpick about the smallest things and don't even leave a "thank you" note.
So for those who do appreciate the 30 hours I spent in writing and drawing this tutorial: I uploaded a larger file. You can click download for full size.
...Whoa...
This is a MASSIVE tutorial I did in only 2 freakin' days! LOL.
I said I would do a gift for you all because someone hit the 60.000 pageviews. Besides, I got over 1550 watchers and my drawings of Vincent and House got over 1000 favourites.
Ooohh look at the pretty colors. My previous tutorials look quite boring compared to this baby.
Ehm... what else to say...
Have fun!

Tortillions cannot be reused except for smudged areas.
However, blendingsticks can be used more often if you sharpen them with a pencil sharpener or sandpaper!!

You can re-use tortillions by scraping or rubbing the end on an abrasive surface like sandpaper, carpet, pink rubber erasers, or an emery board.

I was going to suggest this as well. Emery boards work great. You can actually buy special paper boards that are just fine sand paper and can tear off new sheets. I have used the same one for many works. One package of tortillions can last forever lol.

let me make a guess.. the lower part of the face you've drawn in the botton of the middle column belongs to Gregory House from House, right? x)

Excellent tutorial. I use tissues for just about everything, but tortillions come in handy when I can find some. I've also made them out of cardstock and duct tape.

I actually love your tutorials <3 They're so helpfull, thankyou! But can I ask if you have any tips for doing wrinkles on the forehead? Whenever I shade in the forehead I always end up with smooth looking skin and then when I add the wrinkles they just look like random lines that shouldn't be there :/

Thank you Nicolien! You do a great job writing tutorials and your work is just phenomenal. I hope you become famous.
Quick Question:
How many layers of pencil do you use for skin and do you use different pencils to build up the layers of the skin?
You and Linda Huber are my favorite artists.

Btw you can use tortillons more than twice, you can get the sharpeners, its like a tiny sand paper pad. ^-^

Hey. Thanks for posting this. I'll admit, I didn't read every word, so sorry if my question is answered there somewhere. I am wondering what exactly is the difference between a tortillon and a blending stump. I know the later is pointy on both sides and you can use a pencil sharpener, but what's the difference between the results each of them produces?
