Finished picture can be viewed here: [link]I didn't want to clog you guys with deviations yesterday, so I waited to upload this. (if you wondered why there was no walkthrough for that picture, this is the reason why)
My present to you guys for being awesome and supporting me <33 and for (almost) 200 watchers! hurrah~
So this is basically how I do my lines. All the time. (I am a creature of habit!) I vary the process slightly depending on the picture and what suits it best, but this is essentially how I roll
I tried to be as in depth as possible, because it bothers me when tutorials are basically just a picture walkthrough with words.so yay! hope it's of some use to you :3

wait, so is there a shorter way to give you lines depth by using some options?

I'd say you could always add depth to your lines by using the same concept as the background (multiply your lineart layer, and erase the areas there the light is coming from; I explain it better in the tutorial) but it wouldn't have quite the same effect :/

I love doing my lineart free hand but GOD doesn't it take forever!

It does take forever lmao... but I love it so much that it doesn't matter! colouring flats is what ticks me off >< that takes forever, and it's just laying out base colours haha

I usually don't like regular line art very much, and I haven't been able to find any decent tutorials on freehand line art.
