You'll be surprised
I used my point & shoot camera in macro mode, with a macroconversion lens attached (camera: olympus C750UZ). I used a normal desk lamp for lighting (but it's a tall one - so stands on the floor).
The levels were slightly adjusted in PS, but not much.
Used a syringe for the waterdrops.
