when I do shading on a womans upper lip i always seem to make it look like a mo.. hahahaha ohhh

that's why you need to soften it out more, anyhow hence this is a few years old tutorial I think I ought to make another one, as I've slightly changed my ways of making lips

Hmm... do you have to make a new layer for every step you take?

Yes I added it's colour to it's own layer and set the layer transparent
