Looks very nice! Clouds are good.
Will have to try your tip for zoom and set the preference as shown.

All it does is automatically rescale and reposition the image based on where the rectangle you select is. You will need to crank up the density, depending on how much it scales in!

It probably will be a little while before part 2 comes out - I'm trying out to figure the best way to do video and animated stuff, as Chaotica works better live than with pictures I think.

I will have to get started on this soon. This is nice! It reminds me of the flame I created in old apo, pre 2.08beta, it looked exactly like a burst of flame.
I always render at 4,000 density, and my images turn out pretty decent. I guess I'll try it with 10k density sometime. I'll let you know when I get something done out of this tutorial.

To be entirely honest, 10k density is probably a bit overkill for most fractals. I generally render at 3333 density, and things turn out to be all right. Some flames require higher density, and as you will find out when I do imaging setting in Chaotica in part 2, I'm going to be using a LOT of gamma, which requires a much denser sampling / density in order to turn out properly.

I see. Thank you for the information.
I don't use Chaotica. I'm only really familiar with Apophysis.

Chaotica isn't hard to use at all! I can easily show you how I'm using it live if you want, as I'm currently working on a render :3

I need to actually feed my lizard and take care of some stuff. But - let's keep in touch, and I will actually 'be here' in a little bit!

Let me know if/when you're interested. I need to finish writing a paper due midnight (under three hours), so chances are another day might be better.

It might be a while until part 2 comes out. I'm still deciding how I should try doing it, because I can't do video and voiceover...but absolutely need animation / video.
