Description
I wanted to make a long animated gif of the infamous Fiona and Tails scene from Sonic The Hedgehog #172. But after considering how long the gif will be and how I wanted to stage some of the scenes, I thought it would probably be best if I created a storyboard first.Related content

A small bit of this is animated. It's been a while since I've last worked on it. Maybe it's about time I revisited it.

Surprisingly, issue 172 actually made me really like Fiona. I didn't like her character at all in the previous issues, in fact I found her down right unlikeable.
I loved the moment when Tails pleaded with Fiona not go with Scourge and he believed she could be a good person if she tried. Of course, it was followed by a heart breaking smack to the face. But again, it's my favorite scene in the whole issue (next to Amy vs. Fiona). I thought the brief interaction between Fiona and Tails was handled really well. Yes, it was a bit sad but I still love that page so much!

Sorry if I get emotional about it. There's very few things in this world that cause me to feel such strong connection as it was seeing Tails' heart break for the girl he loved, and seeing her turn bad for Scourge, who loves nobody, in my opinion. It was like a Vulcan mind meld, and it still hurts just remembering it. I'd love to see Fiona turn back to good, but keep that naughty mischievous streak from her evil life for Tails. She can love him, but is the dominant one. There's just something very bitter about seeing a good person turn bad like that. In contrast, seeing a bad person turn good is very uplifting. I don't expect the comics to give a redemption for Fiona anytime soon, so I turn to fan artwork and stories that show her having a change of heart.

There's nothing wrong in getting emotionally invested in a character. I think it makes the story all the more entertaining when you actually care about what happens to certain characters.
To me, I think Fiona's character would serve better if she was neither a good guy or bad. But someone who is rather looking out for herself and will side with any team that benefits her. Of course, she'll lean more towards the good side but she wouldn't mind switching sides on a dime if she has too.
As for the Fiona and Tails relationship, man oh man, I have a whole story in my head that I'm chomping at the bit to animate. But that's going to take some time, especially since the story I have in mind is a sort of a sequel to another story I've only begun writing.

Please tell me more about this story you have in mind. And after noticing your animation skills, they're spectacular. It should be interesting to see what results you can deliver in the end. But yeah, as I said, I'd love to see Fiona turn good, just keep her "I'm in charge!" attitude that makes her deviously playful towards Tails, like in that cute pic you drew of her turning on the charm. It makes them very cute together in a comical way. As Tails matures, he would have less of the twitterpated look, but still submissive to Fiona, in a mutual romantic way.
