Description Stamp by ~ChikitaWolf
Background from Google

I find nothing amusing whatsoever about that horrible event. I can understand people'll joke about it and most don't mean harm necessarily; but lately, I've noticed the joking has gone overboard to the extent that people will call it amusing [and believe it].

What the Hell is so amusing about that event? About all the people who died? About all the destruction? About the suffering that still occurs today because of it?

I just don't understand.

To those of you who literally, and I mean literally, think 9/11 is AMUSING, I think you need to take a trip on Youtube and see the news reports of 9/11, or look up "9 11" on Google images. Perhaps even check up on this site as well-> [link]

If you think people jumping out of the twin towers because they had nowhere to go, the firefighters who were killed upon entering to attempt to save those in the towers, and all the other lives that were lost tragically is amusing, I think you need your head checked, IMHO.

Because that's just sick.

//end rant

Edit: There will be trolls on this. It would probably be better just to ignore them...Unless you have a funny comeback comment >w> *reading those in amusement*

Edit2: I must say, I never expected someone to get POed by me giving my opinion on this subject. If you feel that I need to "pull the stick out of my ass" and "GTFO the internet" for "not accepting other people's opinions", please take a look at your own advice.

Edit3: Thank you for all the favs and views! Feel free to check out my other stamps as well ;3

Edit4: 2nd page for 8 hours? Awesome xD Thanks again!

Edit5: Gotta love dem edits. Ahem. Anyway! I came home to find 100 comments. I can't reply to them all D: So, yeah. If I don't reply, I apologize, but I really am reading all of your comments. And, on a side note; yes, I understand people have dark humour and other opinions. But ya know, this is mine. I believe that there's a boundary that ought not be crossed when it comes to joking around about tragedy [and then believing the actual event is amusing]. . My opinion. No need to get your panties in a bunch ;3

Edit6: Just to get this out there, I'm not going to throw a which tragedy is worse pity party comparison. Tragedy is tragedy. And I'm talking about 9/11 in this stamp, not Japan. If you want to see something for the tragedy of Japan, do look up a stamp for that. And please, people, I realize people die everyday. But that doesn't make 9/11 any less horrible, imo. Whenever I get a comment throwing out statistics about how many people die per day I do this -> . Please stay on the subject of the stamp. Thanks ahead of time for understanding~! :3

Edit7: Here we go~! For those who are ranting about other tragedies like Japan not getting attention and not being funny either -> [link] Enjoy :3

Edit8: Please read through comments before making your own... it's beginning to get rather repetitive ^^"
And honestly, I don't mind hearing other's opinions. I like to try and understand a view from another person's point of view. It'd just be nice if it could pertain to the actual subject of this stamp and not throw my words out of context... because the rash assumptions are beginning to get tiresome.
Anyway, I think this'll be the last edit I make. On a side note, if you'd like an earlier comment you made hidden due to excessive replies (or the like), just note me and I'll hide it for you. No problem~ ^^
*If there are any other edits on this (like to my original argument or to former edits), I'll put them in brackets

I hate it when I see people say things like that. I understand the little jokes people make about it, and like you said, they don't mean any harm. But how can you sit there and believe that it is humorous? All I think is, what kind of American are you that you sit there and laugh at the September 11 tragedy? WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? No. If you think it's so hilarious feel free to move out of the country and laugh at it when you aren't a citizen anymore. I'm not trying to sound harsh or offend anyone, but my god... there has to be something wrong with them if they think that their country being attacked and their fellow Americans dying is funny. I also understand that people are entitled to their own opinions, but just the thought of someone chuckling at people crying for help in the windows and trying to climb down the building just makes me sick.
Every time I watch something about 9/11, I get emotional. Every time I watch those people jump out of the towers, falling to their deaths because they chose suicide over burning alive... I cry. I don't think those assholes would think it was so funny if they had to choose how they wanted to die. Those poor people only got three main options: Burn alive in the fire, suffocate in the smoke, or jump out of the window and wait the whole 2 minutes it takes to hit the ground. Two minutes may not seem like a lot... but when you are literally falling to your grave, you have all that time to think. Those innocent people died horrible, terrifying deaths... how is that amusing? I really just want to ask one of them that, just to see what they can muster up.
I was in first grade when it happened, and though I didn't understand the importance of it, I still knew that something was wrong. I remember being in school when it happened, I had just gotten there and as we were all putting our stuff in our cubbies. Another teacher ran into the classroom to tell my teacher what had happened. Then I remember my teacher started to cry and then the school went into a lock down. When I returned home that day, my mom had the TV on and she was watching the towers collapse. I remember going up to the TV and just staring at them burning. I also specifically remember seeing things falling, almost jumping out of the towers and when I asked my mother what the things were, she turned off the television. Now I'm fully aware of what those "things" were... it will be something I will never forget.
It also really annoys me that when my school actually decides to do something for 9/11, all of the kids pay no attention to it. When one of the teachers actually puts on videos about it, those jerks can't even take 5 minutes to watch it, to respect those who perished and those who risked their lives to save the victims. Nope, all they do is sit there and talk about nothing to their friends and glue their faces to their cellphones. And I have to go to school with these people! Dx I even remember asking one of my classmates to shut up and pay attention, and he said "No one cares about some buildings being blown up. It didn't even happen to us." Ohhh man LOL that just blew my mind. I live in New Jersey, so we're New York's neighbor for goodness sake! If it should affect any of the other states, New Jersey would be one of the top states. My dad told me that where we live in New Jersey, you could see the smoke from the towers in the sky! For days! I just-- gosh, I just can't stand people sometimes ;^;
I'm sorry for writing so much xD I just get very... emotional when it comes to this topic :U
Thanks for making this stamp C: You've made a great point~ I'm definitely using this stamp :3

Many now online do not remember 09-11-2001...they were too young.
I can imagine that for them the largest disaster in their memory is the Sandai Tsunami/Earthquake.

But they also missed out on the biggest party of recent memory; New Year's 1999-2000, when the whole world celebrated as one - they really missed out on one heck of a party.

I'm really concerned for the people who find this massacre of innocent people funny or amusing. Also, it bothers me that when I search: 9/11 on dA, I'm seeing Hetalia everywhere making fun of it! Yeah, I've snapped at one or two people before :/ I think the problem is, people don't realize just how REAL the attack was. They relate it to action movies and whatnot, not really realizing that this was reality - that /real/ people died. It's unfortunate.

It really bothers me when school starts in the beginning of the year, and the teacher plays 9/11 video's during class, and some/all of my classmates can't even give the respect during one period to shut their mouths and watch the video. It's like, as long as it didn't affect them personally, they don't have to give that respect. The same thing goes for things like World War Two, or the Vietnam War. They don't SHUT. THEIR MOUTHS. And of course, I can't hear the video's, because their all talking.

Don't get your panties in a bunch, people. I'm only talking about my fellow students at [LOL, INSERT HIGHSCHOOL HEREEEE], not about any of you. Sorry if you actually do this, though.

*sighhhhhhhh* And, it's like, if it didn't affect them directly, they feel like they don't have to show respect. Idk if that's how they actually feel, but that's sure how it looks like.

But seriously. Most of the pictures I don't think belong on Facebook are taken by the 10th, 9th, and 8th graders. But the 8th graders are most annoying about it.

It's not amusing, definetly not. I cried when I was old enough to understand what 9/11 was. But I do have some fascination with it, I will look up clips on Youtube, this is most likely because it's such a significan event, nothing else like it. To think I just amused myself with coloured bricks with letter printed on them at the time. I think we can make jokes about it though, you know, just for comedy, we do it for everything else. Making something sad funny is the best way to make something less horrific. Unless people decide to take it badly. I'd laugh at those people, do they wish to live in misery about one thing their entire life?

I literally threw up learning about it....3 years in a row. I'm not afraid to admit that, it's sickening and sad(What really points me out is that a lot of the people jumped out the window to escape.) I know too many people both on the internet and in real life that laugh about it. Call me a wimp if you will, but I'm with Chikita, it's horrible! May they all rest in peace.

By the way, I've also seen people laugh about the plane that the passengers crashed. That is even more wrong. Those people were true heroes, how could anybody laugh that they took a plane back from some terrorists and crashed it where it was safe because they couldn't land it? How can you dream of that being funny? It's just plain wrong!

"There is nothing you shouldn't make a joke about, it depends what the joke is." -Ricky Gervais

People have the right to make any joke of anything as long as the joke itself is not bad (like calling Jews stupid *cough cough* South Park *cough cough*). And anyways I've never heard anyone call 9/11 'amusing' I've seen PLENTY of jokes like that and plenty of other jokes about 9/11 which I really don't mind (makes jokes about it myself) but I have not heard one person call it 'amusing' and mean it. So you must have met a 'troll' or something.
