I mean, honestly.
Do you know how much work it must take to keep this site in relative order?
I know I may not necessarily know what exactly our staff do as I’m just your classic deviant trying to enjoy the site, but just looking around me, I can easily tell it takes one helluva job.
Why must people bash the staff then? Calling them all kinds of nasty names and such?
There’s a difference between disliking the way things are run and hating the staff blindly. I mean, do you know them? Honestly know them? Do you know what goes on in their lives? How do you know how much hard work and sweat they put into this site?
I’ve run a site before. It’s not easy. And I was running a tiny 100 member fansite. Look at dA compared to that
And if you hate dA so much… why don’t you just leave? Why waste your time complaining and –excuse the language-- bitching about it all the time? Just save your breath (or your fingers) and leave the site. It really isn’t that hard.
I just don’t understand why people have to bash the staff so harshly :/
I really couldn’t believe some of the stuff they were saying in the devMeet chat earlier today…
Can’t we all just show a little more respect towards those who have kept this site running for us?

I heard someone else say something similar x'3 Now I seriously am starting to worry about how many admins are fooling around (though I'm sure a good number of them are doing their various jobs... like the ones who answer reports. I could fast responses from them~)

yea that's really true.
It IS a hell of a job to keep this site running - you can tell even if you don't know anything about stuff like that.
People that are bitching about everything just are.. sorry, but they are stupid. They probably think you simply put some nice pictures and texts here and there and within 5 minutes a website is done. I DO support if someone has a problem with the site or something similar and really tries to talk mature about it, having arguments and stuff.
But people like this.. really. They should rather go and try make something better instead of whining about everything.
Of course I don't know what every staff member is doing as well but I'm sure they have their jobs for A REASON.
And they do their job just fine.

Though I support the staff as a whole, there are some pretty immature and unprofessional staff members. I do feel for them when people lash out for no reason, but... respect runs both ways. You gotta treat the customer with some level of courtesy, and take their concerns seriously when they voice them - not outright ridicule them, as I've seen some staff members do.
I know they may be tempted to snap back when someone snaps at them, but someone has to be the bigger person and I'm continually disappointed that some staff members don't act that way...

Whoa! I have to comment, Deviant Art Site is needed and yes wanted, I've said often in my journals not only am I glad that I found this site.
This site helps with resources, valuable needed information for ALL artists alike, not to mention the numerous groups, Deviants, I have yet to find anything negative to say, but say thank you as often as possible.
But when this site put on surveys you have to expect not only positive as well as negatives comments, especially there, not to get bummed out on having them without it, won't be no room for improvement.
In closing I again admit this site is a very viable example how to be helpful in community, etc. my experience so far has been over all positive, and the Deviant help desk, staff is very patient and fair period.
Staff of DA you're doing a great job, please know that, except when you put on survey expect both positive and negative opinions.
Didn't mean to sound so preachy, was going to ask you may I use the stamp but at this point, thanks anyway, I won't.
