Didn't like this image, but people on Facebook seemed to enjoy it so i'll stick it up here! An SPV Dune hopping from Fire at rig 15/Point 783.Made in Blender/ Photoshop.

Okay critique time, the sand falls well from the SPV but the dune retains it's integrity. Given the mass of an SPV it would be more likely to burst through the crest of a dune rather than glide over it and as it appears to be in a dune field this would not be the first burst. Hence the SPV would be sand marked in it's progress...unless it's Teflon coated, which I don't recall being a factor in Gerry's series

Oh man, the classic SPV! I missed the old videos in the CG remake they made (I also missed there being any kind of logic in the writing but anyway).

Admittedly I only saw a few episodes but in one of them had a sky-to-ground chase scene that made very little sense: Captain Scarlet parachutes off of Skybase (which is always over water)... onto Stone Henge... and then runs past a tractor.

I think you may be misremembering the show β I've seen it several times and have no recollection of this scene. A tractor did appear in the first or second episode (can't remember which, it's a two parter) but Stonehenge never does.
Also Skybase wasn't just over water, not even in the original series

According to an old Captain Scarlet annual I had, Cloudbase/Skybase was always positioned over water so that it could make a splash landing in the event of engine failure.
I'm sure it has... but admittedly been some years since I saw it...
