Description
Babylon 5 is a great wee show which I completely missed during it's airing (though i remember looking longingly at the Starfury models in a sci-fi catalogue that came with the Star Trek magazine). I actually got into it when I stumbled across the theme tune on the internet one day and thought it was pretty class. As luck would have it, series 1 was available in my local bookshop (stacks bookshop) and I got hooked rather quickly. The show is a wonderful blend of drama and humour, with Story-arcs that really pay off.You really don't see that much Babylon 5 art these days, the station has been something i've always wanted to tackle but never really had the time to do so. Having just got a new computer and a few days off I figured i'd give it a go.
A shoutout goes to BcCelestia on the www.celestiamotherlode.net/cat⦠site for Starfury and the Minbari craft. Normally I feel bad using other peoples models, but time was against me here and they are very well made.
Made in Blender, Photoshop.

The nice thing about B5 is that it doesn't suffer the overwhelming merchandise furore of Star Wars or Trek, Straczynski's utilisation of Sci-theory, Arthurian mythology and Tolkien (Za-ha-dum, yup sooo obvious) was and is a joy to watch as a story.
I would only add that Season one to four are the main arc, season five he didn't think would happen so what should have been S05 forms the second half of S04.
It's still a great series, if now't else for the superior character development of every single actor/role across the series.
Crusade never made the grain, still a good series too as short as it was (the standout episode features both Peter and Edward Woodward, just a joy)
The B5 TV movies are great fun and fit well into the mythology of the regular series.
Finally the 'Lost Tales' DVD is heartbreaking both for the cannon storylines and it's reference to B5 actors who had passed.
This is a series that whets the appetite and engages any explorer of science fiction and scientific theory as it satisfies both.

Thanks, one thing I focused on is that you always see it darkly lit so I fancied a change by putting her in the sun.

Amiga fans were quite proud of the fact that the series was the first one on TV to use CG, and not only that, it was done on Amigas using Lightwave. According to this report, rendering took 45 minutes per frame, and around 6000 frames were rendered for an episode.

Great job. B5 was the first series I ever saw that was designed for a limited run- if you call 5 seasons limited.

Series 2? You mean "Excalibur" or Season 2 of "B5"?

Okay, you mean the second season. That's what it's called here in the US. I should have known what you meant since I follow Dr.Who and they always talk in series.
