Just a happy, shiny dragon, soaking up some rays.I've wanted to try drawing a specifically golden dragon for a while, now. In a chat, someone joked around about dragons being solar powered, so I had to draw one, relaxing in the sun. ^_^
I tried to use some of the techniques I was experimenting with, in that last study, as well.
Hopefully, all of you enjoy it, too.

Really cool! And to be frank, in at least my stories, dragons can bask to warm themselves. So they are at least partially solar powered!

Stunning colours and great lighting, the dragon seem to enjoy the warm light as much as the scenery itself.
I also really love how the pose floats and uses the full reach of the image.
The body of the dragon have a nice weight and stretches elegantly out, whilst its wings seem to embrace the scenery just as much as it's stretching to feel the heat of the sun.
