Speedpaint 5/7/13Time: 4:16
For this speedpaint, I decided to revisit an older piece of mine. I really like the idea, but I thought I could do much better with it now, compared to a few years ago.
I think it turned out much better. The process behind this piece has been saved, on Livestream. [link]
The awesomely punny title was suggested in the livestream by Tempo. [link]
I'm rather pleased with the result. It hardly seems like a speedpaint, in a way.

That's the idea. They're not all going to turn out well, but I think these speedpaints will be a great way to improve.
I can probably make 10 of them in the time it takes me to make a longer piece, and as I learn, I'll probably get faster and better with these, too.

I think these are going to be a great way to practice and improve. I've overworked things several times on my larger pieces, but these are a good way to refine my technique, as well as manage the detail and focus of the piece. If this one is any indication, maybe soon my speedpaints will be better than the ones that I've been spending a super long time on.
You could always try some of your own, too.

This is something i love to see. Something like a dragon, just reading a book. Like just a slice of life. Maybe next we can see a dragon watching TV or having a civilized dinner.
