Last year, i did a request for inchide who wanted a drawing of Samus Aran if she was visibly affected by being injected full of Metroid DNA........it turned out to be really popular, so i drew her again.
Edit: I literally point my finger at the drawings in my 2007 folder and scream "I'M COMING FOR YOU, 2007! I'M COMING FOR ALL OF YOU!!!!" I take this very seriously.

Just a little... the colors were a tad bit too dark, and her head was kind of squished down.... considering this is one of my most popular drawings, i felt those errors should be fixed.

her right hand confuses me, it looks like shes merging two fingers to have 4 but the left hand on top has 5 so thats not it?

Very cool design. The especially cool thing is that this sort of desing might be canon is a game is ever made taking place after Fusion.

I'd like to hear a story involving this. Somehow, Samus finds her self altered or mutated and pregnant with a Metroid, which she then raises as her child.

I think Samus prefers this one to. May just be me but she looks a bit more happy. Awesome drawing though I do admit that I have a weakness for this kind of thing.

The way I see it, the more energy Samus absorbed from others, the more like the SA-X's monster form she'd become.

A virus creature that serves as villain of Metroid Fusion. On an expedition to SR-388, Samus comes into contact with the X-Parasites, a unicellular lifeform that Metroids preyed on before Samus wiped them all out. The parasite gets onto Samus, and starts reproducing as she flies off, attacking as she flies through an asteroid belt. Her ship is destroyed and Samus is brought to a research station orbiting SR-388. Once there, the doctors operating on her realize the X will kill her if something isn't found that would kill the X inside her. A vaccine is found, from the DNA of the baby Metroid. One miracle surgery later, and Samus is sent to stop the X Parasites from destroying the station's specimens, aided by her new Fusion suit, which her new Metroid DNA synthesized to replace parts of the Power Suit that had to be discarded during the operation.
However, those discarded pieces are all infected by X, and it synthesizes a new creature, the SA-X, which has a single minded desire to spread X throughout the universe and kill Samus. With all her tech gone, Samus must use her new ability to absorb X like a Metroid to regain her lost powers and stop the SA-X.

That... is complicated. I have heard of the fusion suit, though. So that is what it is for.

I doubt the Metroid DNA would effect her morphology so much as to allow her to float or live in a vacuum, but I do wonder if she would be able to draw the life force out of other creatures like she did the X parasite.
