Is it preferable to keep pencils sharp, dull, or in between when laying down large areas of color? I've noticed blunt Prismas make a highly texturized look on my bristol board, but sometimes sharp ones tend to make uneven fills. Any thoughts on this?

i prefer to have the pencil dull, otherwise i run into that uneven fill problem like you've mentioned. i tend to not sharpen my pencils all the way, so they're kind of slightly blunt at the top

I can't believe I don't have this faved. ._. I used this way back when you first made it and learned how to properly use colored pencils and blending. I've recommended it to many of my friends who have wondered where I learned how to color effectively. So thank you.

Yay! I was looking for some colored pencil tutorials and I found yours. This helps me quite a bit. Also, it was funny, not "hey, you crappy suck artist, come learn from I, who sucks not", which just brings me down.

I love that shading! where to get prisma colours? lol really i search everywhere but since it really stinks here in the UAE and even manga is 50 DHS (i dunno how many USD that makes...sorry) its really hard to buy stuff :/
