The texture and color of what you're coloring reminds me of an orange tee hee, lol, but still good. I use prisma pencils and markers as well but sadly, i have no scanner

NICE! Prisma pencil totally goes back to my roots! I remember it takes FOREVER!
My 2 cents! Colored pencil is 100x faster if you do it on colored paper. : O It is nice on white though, gives it an airy feeling. : D

oh, base color is just the main color that you're gonna be using for the area you're working on. for example ... in this pic, her legs are brown, so i just chose the mose basic shade of brown to lightly color it in

If anything, I'd say that was a fun read. Good for people who need to build up better techniques with their pencils and such. Yay!

Kiii that's a great tutorial! <3 I also use Prisma Colour, also with Lyra.
But I must say, that is a very good tutorial, though I usually don't use shadings, I use darker pencil crayons and then blend them all together to give them a lively look by using SPLENDER. *shot* But yes, it's very useful!
