Description
Tasha - aka Pretty Dead Girl - modeled a few of my pieces for my portfolio. I just love this shot. She looks stunning - so elegant and i love the sweep of her lashes and the curve of her cheek. Tasha models for Model MayhemTasha (stylist and model) pretty.deadly.stylz@gmail.com and [link]
The photo was taken by Danielle King who does some incredible work: [link] and [link]
I feel very lucky to have this talented group do some photos with my work.
I actually have this piece up on etsy right now... so there are a few more shots of the jewelry.

That is such a nice piece of jewelry~ I've always loved steampunk things like that. It looks pretty delicate, though. What is the glass? Part of an old light or something?

its actually an industrial glass - called quartz glass - its a flash tube for a stop motion camera. I don't think they are made anymore - or if they are they must be expensive. I acquired this one from a man in Europe.
they actually are quite sturdy because they are designed for industrial use. I have though broken one dropping it on a cement floor! just the tip snapped. sigh.

Indeed...I agree, very beautiful and elegant. She has such soft lines...and the contrast of her skin with the metal and glass is some serious eye candy.

It's a very intriguing design. The cyber-punk genre and all of its concepts is one that I only recently began looking into for inspiration and whatnot, but already I can definitely appreciate this piece of work! The chain, in particular, I find to be VERY attractive!

Please open a booth at comic-con some year! I'd love to poke around at your stuff.

i keep considering getting a booth but I'll have to see if i can make enough things. The very real concern is that I'd have 40 things - and over a day a bunch of them might sell. Having six things left in a booth just sucks. It kind of happened at the last 1 day show i did.
I have this necklace listed on etsy now - www clockworkzero.etsy .com

Awesome! Thank you! ^_^
well, con is like a week, and its in july, you should check it out some time. They have a pretty big steam-punk and cyber-punk crowd every year. Theres been a huge boom in steampunk comics.

i would love to do something like that... sell there. what a great opportunity to meet people. I suspect though i would really be stuck finding enough things to sell. lol. well, its still a possibility right? Maybe i'll see how the local con goes - its 2.5 days. a week would be interesting and quite a challenge!

thank you, i believe you are so right! alas, i can't really afford to hire a model and get a shot done for all my pieces. I will though see about getting a few more shots done simply because these people are so talented! I wish i could employ them for everything.
my rather "stock" photography is really to show the detail of the work.
