Description
'Do you realise who this is?' said Firenze. 'This is the Potter boy. The quicker he leaves this forest, the better.''What have you been telling him?' growled Bane. 'Remember, Firenze, we are sworn not to set ourselves against the heavens. Have we not read what is to come in the movements of the planets?'
Ronan pawed the ground nervously. 'I'm sure Firenze thought he was acting for the best,' he said in his gloomy voice.
-Chapter 15: The Forbidden Forest, Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone by JK Rowling.
Okay, so mostly I just wanted to draw centaurs, but I'm so happy with how Harry turned out! The trees drove me mad (they took me three days!) but I'm pretty happy with it. This scan is also much darker than the original piece.
from 2006-ish

Very well drawn. I like the details to the trees and the centaurs. I'm so happy they are drawn as theya re described in the books and not how they were portrayed in the movies, as Firenze was not exactly handsome as he was described in the books. I always wondered one thing in the movies where the mand the centaurs covered in fur even on the human torso- if they had fur on torsos then how can they see the horseshoe shaped bruises that were described int he 5th books?

Wow. I love it. You did an amazing job. The shading on the centaurs is immaculate.

well. There are a few spots where their musculature is totally wonky, but... thank you!
