"I'm going to need you two to watch over Hershey and guard the house while I'm away!""Mother, please!! You must reconsider this!"
"Rudo...-"
"We understand you want to help, mother! But what if you lose your life out there? We need you! Hershey needs you!!"
"If you don't return-"
"I WILL return. No more arguing, boys! Guard the house and make sure Hershey stays safe!! I mean it!"
The memory from earlier continued to replay in her head while she was occupied aiding Wynglings get to safety to avoid getting caught in the crossfire. Understanding why her sons felt the way they did as well as attempting to stop her, she just couldn't sit by and do nothing. For once she wanted to feel like she could be of more use during times like this. She won't lose her life out there. That much she promises...
So far she's been finding a lot of Wynglings and helping them the best that she could; whether they'd be running away from the scene of the fight or are in a panic.
Any child she'd encounter, Jane would hand them over to a nearby adult asking them to get them somewhere safe and far away from the fight as possible, and then proceed to find more.
Her legs have began to feel sore and achy from the amount of running she's been doing trying to make sure no Wyngling gets caught in the scene with that terrifying creature. She'd try to pause every now and then to catch her breath before resuming back to what she was doing.
"I don't... see any.... more Wynglings here..." she panted between words, scouring for anymore children. Jane checked almost every corner of the town to find any signs of Wynglings in the area. The exhaustion she was beginning to feel was almost overwhelming. Placing her paws on her knees, still trying to take a breather, she wanted to double check to be absolutely sure there was no Wynglings in sight...
"There doesn't seem to any around here either... I guess I'll- huh?"
A small figure ran past one of the buildings just now, seemingly in a rush. Unfortunately, she didn't get a good look them but she placed her bet that it had to be another child due to how small they were. She saw the figure heading in the direction where the Nova Tree was at; the precise location where the beast is causing havoc. With no time to waste, Jane gathered the energy to run after the figure hoping she'll catch up to them in time...
"Have to... hurry...!!"
The strength in her legs were practically depleting at this point. But she can't give up. Not now. She was determined to find this child with whatever strength she can use left.
As soon as she emerged out behind from one of the buildings, from a distance she witnessed a red Wyngling close to the Nova Tree. Must've been the small figure that she was trying to track down from earlier. Jane wanted to take a breath before she could grab them and get them to a safer area. However, she noticed the Deelagun that rests upon it raised its tail as if it was about to swing at something. That something, or someone, was going to be the red child that was close enough to the Tree to suffer a brutal strike...
Without skipping a beat Jane sprinted as fast as she could towards the Wyngling. She leaped out and grabbed the child, protecting its head and body as she did a somersault, successfully evading the strike from the beast.
"Goodness..." she coughed a couple times before directing her attention down at the Wyngling in her arms. "Are you alright, little one?"
"Y-Yes...! Thank you so much, miss!!"
Jane sighed, relieved that the child was unharmed. Before she could get up and take him somewhere safe, there was something uncanny about the Wyngling... When she looked into his eyes, it's almost as if she's familiar with this child in some way despite never meeting him before. She doesn't know what it is about him, but something is definitely and strongly familiar about him...
Her thought was interrupted when a massive shadow casted over them. She was completely, albeit briefly, distracted by the Wyngling's appearance that it slipped her mind to get him away as soon as she grabbed him.
Being this close to the Nova Tree, Jane was stricken with deep horror at the size and sight of the Deelagun...
For some reason her legs ceased function. She was utterly frozen in place. Gazing up at the dreaded beast filled her with a type of fear that she didn't even know she was capable of feeling...
The beast raised its tail readying to swing and strike at them.
Paralyzed by overwhelming fear, Jane hugged the red wyngling as tight as she could, embracing for what was coming.
Until out of no where a quad immediately jumped out in front of them, shielding them from the impact...

The beasts rampage through the town has sent many scattering in fear, one such being, a little pale green boo, has been desperately trying to find somewhere safe. Upon seeing Jane risk her life to save Johnny, the little boo decides that that is the safest place for them. Now hopefully they'll be able to catch up to their newly found safety net.
