A little something I whipped up for Mother's Day contest.
You know, Rapunzel's real parents don't enough love. Sure, we only see them for a few seconds at a time, but even in a few seconds and with no dialog you can tell a lot about them. The ending of Tangled is their best moment. The animators did a fantastic job of communicating the swell of emotions they were feeling; after so many years, they are finally united with their lost daughter. I wanted to capture that emotion here.

I've always found drawing physical interactions between people to be difficult. Drawing hugs seems to be especially hard. I think I did a decent job here, but if something looks wonky, you know why.
I think the coloring on this could be better, but I was crunched for time. I'm still learning when it comes to coloring.
