Description
My entry into 's "Princess design" contest. More "female protagonist" than "princess."Here's a character I've been developing on and off for a while now. Were as most people would opt to make a character for a movie, my idea is for a TV show.
This is Ansuya Worthington, better known as Ms. Adventure. Her father was a famous British explorer who married an Indian woman. She inherited her father's love of exploration and the cultures of the world. She became an anthropologist and now travels the globe, going on amazing adventures.
Ansuya is a very chipper, optimistic, and friendly woman, arguably to a fault. Although highly intelligent, she can often become unaware of her surroundings and, as her alias implies, she often finds herself in hairy or dangerous situations inadvertently. Luckily, she possesses enough skill and cunning to get herself out of most sticky spots. She can be a real chatterbox at times, often rattling off her knowledge of various artifacts and cultures to anyone who's listening. Nevertheless, she is noble, respectful of most people's beliefs and world views, and a loyal friend to the end, all the while never losing her child-like love and wonder for the world we live in.

Cutie! I like the palette, especially the eye color.

Her design's really stylized, which makes it eye-catching and interesting. And, you also have some nice lineart. (and I think she has pretty eyes in the shaded pic)
The story doesn't seem too exciting to me, but I think that's because your idea was for a series, so you didn't really say much besides a quick overall idea. It could be interesting. And it could be more interesting for children, which I'm guessing it's aimed toward. Something similar to the Fairy Odd Parents and The Wild Thornberrys.
Her design looks like it'd be easy to animate. And I see that you move her ponytail to the side in the front view, like how Disney moves Goofy's nose.
hm... looking closer, it looks like her part is on the opposite side in the first two turnaround images?

Thank you! I'm glad you like the eyes. I really wanted to make them stand out.
"Something similar to the Fairy Odd Parents and The Wild Thornberrys." That's actually a pretty good description of the tone I was going for.
Yep. The part is on the wrong side. Careless error on my part.
