Ever notice how in the late 80s and early 90s pretty much every cartoon series need one smokin' hot female character. Ya know, for the kid! Ninja Turtles had April O'Neil, X-Men had Rouge (among others), and even Animaniacs had the Nurse. So when Megaman got his own cartoon, who did they put in it as eye-candy? Why Roll of course! Wait... wha?It was always odd to me how she went from looking like an 8 year old in the games and looked 18 in the show. Thats just kinda messed up.
This is what I imagine would happen if the games Roll and cartoons Roll ever meet.

Sorry but no. This was really only meant as a one time joke about how different Roll looks from the games to the cartoon. Also, I don't fell Proto Man looked all that different from the games in the cartoon, save for more muscle mass. Maybe I'll do something similar to this again, but not right now.

They must put Ruby Spears Roll in some game. If they are gonna use the evil megaman 1 box art megaman in universe, why not use all the Ruby Spears Cartoon cast? I think it would be a more complete work like that. I even hope next Smash Bros include Link and Zelda from the cartoon.

Yeah, you have a point. Mind you, Megaman was aged into a teenager too.
To be honest, I like cartoon Roll better. She's more fun to watch because I find she has more personality other than just being the girl of the show. She's energetic, strong and fun. And she actually participates in the fight.
Game Roll is nice too, but it would be nice if we saw her more often so she can develop a bit more.

Ha,you never knew about the Megaman action figures from the 90s?.They were put out by Bandai USA and they were really short lived and didn't last long.Another thing I notice is that Kalinka Cossack was never shown in the American cartoon which means I never knew about her in the 90s until I was in High School (early 2000's).If Kalinka was in the US cartoon,they would give her the same treatment as Roll.

Awesome! Had I known about those action figures I probly would have gotten some. I think I remember seeing Dr. Cossack in the show but its been so long since I saw it I can't remeber.

That picture is actually funny,if the Japanese Roll met the American Roll.
I really wish that Capcom USA would let us have the Anime Rockman show (with the red dress Roll) than the Ruby Spears cartoon.I mean,people in Asia got to know the red dress Roll because they had the Rockman Anime in the early 90s.Again,Anime was popular in Asia at the time.Some girl I knew in college remembers seeing the red dress Roll back in the early 90s since she grew up in China.
I mean I still like the US Roll,but I'm more in tune with the Japanese version.I used to have a small figure of that Roll when I was little in the early 90s (I was caught shoplifting the figure at the toy store).I gave away the Roll figure to my little cousin a long time ago.

I like the cartoon and I like how Roll was portrayed but I just always thought it was a bit strange how her look was completely changed while most of the other characters, for the most part, looked like they did in the games. oh well 
They made Megaman action figures in the 90s? Awesome! Dang, how did I miss those?

I actually thought the US cartoon made Roll look cool, what with all the gizmos she could cram in her arm. And I always felt the cartoon got more right then wrong. Still watch it on Youtube.

Yeah I like the US cartoon Roll as well and I thought the cartoon did a good job portraying her and giving her a bigger role than in the the games. I'm just pointing out how different her design is in the two.
