Groundhog Day seemed like just an ordinary day to Dean. He was walking down a busy city sidewalk from his place of work to a small nearby restaurant where he was planning to have lunch. Things do not always go according to plan. Without warning, he became dizzy and fell to the ground.

The next thing Dean knew he was in a hospital bed. In the hall, he could hear the doctors and nurses talking about conducting some sort of medical experiment. They must not have known he had regained consciousness. Under the circumstances, he waited for the doctors and nurses to depart.

When Dean could no longer hear them, he got out of bed and carefully crept to the door. He slowly opened the door and peeked outside. No one was there. Not so cautiously he ran out of there. He did not even notice the changes that were already happening to him.

Most hospitals do not have changing rooms, but this one did. Dean quickly found the changing room and entered it. While it was empty, Dean quickly put on a nurse uniform to disguise himself. He looked at himself. His long hair and large breasts made him look just like any of the other nurses.

Dean realized that he needed a few items to make his disguise better. He picked up a chart that someone had left on a nearby counter. Then she found an ID badge with a picture that looked just like her. She checked the name on the badge. It said Dana which was indeed her name.

Dana felt like she was forgetting something. Then she remembered she had to complete her nurse look so she would look just like the other members of the hospital staff. She went into one of the rooms and picked up a hypodermic needle. It was filled with some sort of liquid. She did not know what was in it, but it did not matter to her. It completed her look.

As Dana examined the liquid inside the hypodermic from various angles, she felt the strong desire to inject someone with it. After all, she was pretending to be a nurse and that would be the perfect way to aid her disguise. One of the doctors walked past. She hid the hypodermic needle from view. Even though she had originally picked it up for her disguise, she felt like what she was doing with it was not quite right.

When she was alone again, she quickly ran into another hospital room, one that was occupied. The patient was in the hospital room unconscious. Dana slowly approached with the hypodermic needle in her hand ready to conduct her experiment. After all, that was what the doctors and nurses there did and she wanted to blend in.

Her actions were suddenly stopped by her inner voice which yelled at her that this was not right. Her inner voice also reminded her that this was still Groundhog Day. Dana dismissed her inner voice. She was interested in neither the important nor the trivial. She just wanted to become a nurse.

Her inner voice then told her that nurses did not go around injecting their patients with unknown liquids. This caused her to pause with indecision. Dana wanted to inject her patient but she knew that was not the proper way to do things. Would spring be early or would spring be late?
