A teenaged boy named Jamie walked along the beach by himself. There he encountered a large seashell that had an unusual pink color to it. Jamie picked it up and put it to his ear hoping the hear the sounds of the ocean. Instead he heard the mysterious undersea melody as the seashell glowed with a faint pink glow.

While he listened, a pink seashell bikini top appeared and wrapped around him. All body hair except the hair on his head disappeared. Then his swim trunks turned pink and descended down his legs so it resembled a dress.

The music compelled him to walk into the water. His feet were the first part of him effected. Once in the water they resembled those of a teenaged girl and they did not change back when he took them out again. He walked deeper and deeper into the water causing more and more changes to occur. Finally, Jamie lowered her head into the water. When she came back up, she was completely female.

By this time, she was deep enough into the water for other changes to occur. The dress completely closed and attached to her body. Tail fins formed making her look like a mermaid. Jamie realized that was indeed what she had become.

The final changes were more cosmetic. Her hair formed into twin tails and extended the full length of her body and jewelry appeared on her arm, tail, neck, and head. Jamie quickly tested her new found ability by swimming about in all three dimensions.

She was still alone but it would be much easier to meet people this way.
