The middle school sleepover was ready to begin. Natalie had just arrived. Even though she was the youngest she was an excellent storyteller. The others looked forward to whatever story she decided to tell. Previously, she had told stories of an Egyptian princess, a girl selling items by raft in Brazil, and a girl living on an island somewhere in the South Pacific.

Once the other girls gathered around her, Natalie took out a white lace ribbon and put it in her hair. She breathed deeply and stared upwards and in front of her as if she was looking through the wall. After doing this for about thirty seconds, an idea came to her. She removed the hair ribbon and told her story.

It was a story of a young girl living in the middle of the woods. One day, she ventured too far and got lost. She screamed but no one could hear her. Things looked really bad for her. As the sun began to set and things became far more dangerous, she was finally able to find a trail she recognized. The trail led back to where she lived. She did not get back until late at night but she was able to get back.

Because of what happened, the young girl did not explore too far from home for quite some time. Eventually something happened that forced her to travel a long distance once more but that was another story.

The girls surrounding her once again complimented her on her story. They had no idea how she did it. When they asked, Natalie just picked up her hair ribbon once more and fiddled with it. She explained it was her source of inspiration.

Unknown to them, Natalie had once been a middle aged man named Noah. Noah had entered the strange antique shop and purchased a white lace hair ribbon. Besides turning her into a young girl named Natalie, every time she put the ribbon on it connected her to a young girl from another time and place. This gave her a wide selection of random and diverse stories to tell.
