As requested from someone who wanted to see my black and white process.I was just thinking of this piece so I used it for the process.

Yay! I see. Do you need to keep anything under the drawing hand to keep from smudging? What about tips on knowing where to place the shadows? That's what's hardest about inking for me. Would you mind if the B&W Forever group featured your tutorial?

no problem. yeah for the shadowing you first have to pick where your light is coming from. Then you can decide. you don't always have to have light coming from one side, you could pin point it like a candle or have multiple light sources, but the thing is, for a pure black and white piece with no gray, having one ligh source is a good way of not making it look flat. and yeah you can use this for the club. and if you're using mechanical pencil then there aren't that much smudging if you're using a good hard paper.
